Williamsfield Homes are all designed to level 4 of the code for sustainable homes. This a volountary standard that is higher than even current building regulations. It's about much more than just energy efficiency but with energy costs at the forefront of many people's minds, we are often asked how our houses perform. Extra thick and higher performance insulation, triple glazing and better sealing all combine to make a difference that you might not see but which makes a real difference. According to the Energy Saving Trust, this code 4 standard is some 44% more efficient than the 1996 building regulations standard and even that was considered to be very energy efficient.

As part of the design process something called a SAP calculation is performed. A SAP calculation is a standard method of assessing a building's performance. It is a method set out by the Government to allow comparison between houses energy performance.

If you look at the SAP calculation (click here) you will see that the SAP calculation rated this design as having an annual energy cost of £420.00 per year. As with any officially calculated performance figures, this is a figure that is not guaranteed but does allow comparison and allows you to see how a Williamsfield home compares to other new houses available.

With energy such an important consideration, now you can have the benefit of exceptional economy now and know that the efficiency will be an attractive point should you sell your home in the future.
